An award has identified the greenest campus in the country. The University of Nottingham has received a Green Flag Award, which recognises recreational areas and community spaces that demonstrate excellence in a number of environmental criteria, including cleanliness, accessibility and sustainability. Nottingham's 330-acre University Park campus features a lake, extensive parkland and 12 halls of residence that accommodate 3,000 students.
