University of Nottingham - Carbon-based forms

A university is to partner the British Geological Survey to establish a facility to research carbon capture and storage. The National Centre for Carbon Capture and Storage will be based at the University of Nottingham and aims to address both the geological and engineering challenges involved. Mike Stephenson, head of science (energy) at the British Geological Survey and the centre's director, said carbon capture had the potential to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90 per cent and grow into a £20 billion industry by 2030.
