It's "Welcome to 'Hullywood'" as the University of Hull launches a masters degree in British cinema, which it claims is the first in the country to focus solely on the British film industry. "There is a huge body of work to be studied, with major directors, actors and writers who have not ever been given their dues," said director of studies Neil Sinyard. "Our new MA is part of an ongoing movement to highlight and give credit to (this)." He added that the new programme reflected a growing interest in the subject.
