A university has sold its London campus for £9.7 million. The University of Gloucestershire handed ownership of the site to LHA London Limited last week, although university activities will continue there until June. The campus, formerly the Urban Learning Foundation, was used by Gloucestershire primarily for teacher training and international students. It became part of the university in 2003 and was put on the market in September 2009 after the institution ran into financial difficulties. A spokesman for Gloucestershire said: "The sale proceeds will be used to bring down university debt and to finance impending estate refurbishment."
