Scientists at the University of Glasgow are working on a networking system using Bluetooth technology that could allow sports fans to interact with each other at stadium events. Ad hoc networking would enable crowd members to share messages, photographs and videos with up to seven other people at once. Matthew Chalmers, reader in the department of computing science, said: "It's about extending a social-networking philosophy to sports stadiums and giving spectators a richer experience by making them feel better connected."
