An aircraft hangar and plane are being bought by the University of Glamorgan as part of its plans for its Faculty of Advanced Technology. A £1.5m investment will see the construction of an Aircraft Maintenance Training Centre, which will enable students to gain the skills needed in industry. Once acquired, the university plans to partially dismantle and reconstruct the aircraft in its new home. Roy Garwood, head of engineering, said the facility would be the first of its kind at a Welsh university.
