A professorship in disaster management and emergency response is one of eight new interdisciplinary chairs being created by the University of Glamorgan. The university is organising an international disaster management conference in Cardiff in July, along with Northumbria University and the University of Teesside. The other new chairs are in sustainable communities and regeneration; forensic computing and digital forensics; forensic science; sustainable energy generation; mobile communications technologies; media/TV; and sports rehabilitation.
