Researchers at the University of Essex are to collaborate on two major studies into migration after winning grants totalling £4.7 million. Ayse Güveli and Lucinda Platt, from the Institute for Social and Economic Research, will study the effects of migration across Europe. The first project will focus on 500 Turkish families, and the second will examine integration among early immigrants in Europe. Both projects will last four years.
