Global challenges of food security, sustainable agriculture and agricultural training and education are to be tackled at a new centre in Norwich. The Centre for Contemporary Agriculture will incorporate expertise from the University of East Anglia and Easton College, as well as research institutes from the Norwich Research Park and the food and agriculture industry. UEA and Easton are developing undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with students undertaking placements in agricultural and food businesses. People employed in related areas will also have the opportunity to undertake continuing professional development courses based on the degree modules.
