November 27, 2008

An archive of scripts written by Alistair Cooke for his famous Letter from America broadcasts will be available to the public for the first time, via the University of East Anglia. The almost 3,000 "letters" written by the late broadcaster and writer amount to an estimated 6 to 7 million words penned between 1946 and 2004 for his Letter series, which was broadcast on BBC radio.
