The number of physics teachers in the UK is to be boosted by a recruitment initiative launched by the University of East Anglia. The institution will work in partnership with the Institute of Physics on the Marketing Initiative for Teacher Recruitment project, which aims to help teacher-training providers increase the number of physicists they admit to their PGCE courses. New approaches such as the pooling of marketing expertise are being adopted.
