Researchers are looking for people who have experienced traumas such as car accidents, assaults or natural disasters to help them with a new study. The project at the University of East Anglia will investigate the differences between personal memories of trauma in Western and non-Western cultures - namely the UK and Iran. Treatment for trauma tends to be based on UK and US research, but it is unknown whether the same approaches should be applied to people from other cultures.
