The University of Chichester has been officially awarded Fairtrade status. The recognition is a result of its commitment to making Fairtrade products, including food, drinks and clothing, freely available in as many on-campus outlets as possible. Robin Baker, vice-chancellor of Chichester, said: "As one of the largest institutions in West Sussex, and as a university with a Christian foundation, we are committed to supporting a fair deal for producers in the developing world ... we're delighted to be part of the Fairtrade movement."
