The Ivory Coast has announced that its team will train at the University of Bedfordshire in the run-up to the London 2012 Paralympic Games. The West African nation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bedfordshire Olympic Opportunities Support Team, an organisation set up to ensure that the county benefits from the Olympics and the Paralympics. The president of the Ivory Coast Paralympic Committee, Serge Pacome Trazie, said Bedfordshire was "a very good university and an internationally recognised place". He added that the university's facilities made him "very jealous".
