A new masters degree launched by the University of Aberdeen aims to tackle a skills gap in the Scottish oil and gas industry. The MSc in structural engineering has been specifically tailored to the energy sector, and was drawn up in collaboration with industry partners including Atkins, Production Services Network and Wood Group Engineering. Available as a three-year part-time degree, the programme will be taught both by academics and industry figures, and will start next month.
