A team of architects has defeated international competition in a contest to design a cultural park in China. The plan, drawn up by a team including Christine Hawley, dean of the faculty of the built environment at University College London, and other staff from the UCL Bartlett School of Architecture, includes a museum, city library, exhibition hall and landscaped park for the city of Heyuan, Guangdong Province. The next stage is to work up the scheme to get funding approval from the Chinese Government.
