Union gives Sunderland thumbs-down over cuts

The threat of 140 jobs losses at Sunderland University has led lecturers' union Natfhe to declare "no confidence" in the university executive.

Natfhe said an informal straw poll found that 96.6 per cent of staff lacked confidence in the management. It received 151 responses.
