TRAIN-IT sets workshop, courses to help IT startups write business plans

TRAIN-IT, which provides information to European entrepreneurs working in information society technologies (IST) on writing business plans, and is funded by the Fifth Framework programme's IST Programme, is holding an information day and workshop in Paris on 7 to 8 March.

The event will bring together TRAIN-IT alumni, IST participants and junior companies from Supelec, a leading engineering institute from France. Supelec focuses on R&D (research and development) and promoting practical applications such as start up training and the fostering of 'junior companies'.

Representatives from the European Commission and information society experts will give presentations at the event, which will also include a matchmaking session with professionals from innovative ventures.

TRAIN-IT is also holding courses aiming to teach European Entrepreneurs working in information society technologies (IST) how to write an investment winning business plan. The next course dates are as follows:

- 24 February to 2 March 2002
- 21 to April 2002
- 1 to 7 June 2002.
