The government's plans to finally achieve parity of esteem between academic and vocational qualifications through its new 14-to-19 reforms have evidently resulted in some radical thinking among school heads.
Secondary Heads Association leader John Dunford told a press conference recently that he thought it wouldn't be long before PhD stood for excellence in Plumbing, Heating and Drains.
