Too many Forman

Bipartisanship may rule, but the Commons debate on Education Secretary Gillian Shephard's inquiry still threw up one alarming idea as former higher education minister Nigel Forman suggested that the word "higher" had become misleading and might be replaced by "post-compulsory". It is not that Mr Forman is wrong, just that Times Post-Compulsory Education Supplement would make even our current handle look positively wieldy.
