The university's magnificent 1995/96 desk diary is crammed with all kinds of useful data such as the fax number of the materials department and the name of the Rawlinson and Bosworth professor of Anglo-Saxon. But the diary pages for 1996 ends on December 29. What do they know that the rest of us have missed?
