The Abel Prize

The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters is now extending invitations to the mathematical communities to nominate candidates for the Abel Prize 2005. The Abel Prize, which was awarded for the first time in 2003, is worth NOK 6 million, or approximately €750,000. It is an international prize for outstanding scientific work in the field of mathematics.
