A "multisensory celebration of diving" and a musical form of fencing were among 20 cultural events and artworks staged at a London university to mark the launch of a national celebration of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Thirteen universities are taking part in the Creative Campus Initiative, which will create a major touring exhibition. Each institution is being allocated at least 10 Olympic sports to respond to in an artistic and creative way. Thames Valley University has already held a three-day festival. One project saw its students collaborate with secondary schools and local residents to perform five songs inspired by the pentathlon.
