Student dentists at the University of Amsterdam are learning how to deal with terrified patients. Dentist and psychologist Arie De Jongh estimates that more than 800,000 people in The Netherlands are too frightened to go to the dentist.
He told the newspaper Algemeen Dagblad : "Usually they had bad experiences before or are terrorised by horror stories of other patients."
