Synchrotron Radiation Source: access to beam time

Deadline: 11/05/2001

April 10, 2001

CLRC Daresbury Laboratory operates the Synchrotron Radiation Source (SRS), providing access to state of the art facilities for researchers supported by UK Research Councils, The Wellcome Trust and industry. New proposals and beamtime bookings are now being sought for SRS beamtime in the period 1 October 2001 to 31 March 2002.

The SRS provides radiation from the infrared to hard X-rays for a large range of scientific applications. Instruments support techniques such as X-ray diffraction (powder, small crystal and protein crystallography), EXAFS, small angle scattering, surface techniques, photon, ion and electron spectroscopies, time-resolved fluorescence, CD spectroscopy, confocal and FTIR microscopies.

Forms and guidance notes available online.
