Swansea seeks title

Swansea Institute is to seek permission to use the "university" title, after gaining powers to award its own taught degrees. "After a year-long and rigorous inspection from the Quality Assurance Agency we're now able to apply for university title," said principal David Warner. "From internal soundings the favoured option is `Swansea Metropolitan University'."
