The role of angels in theology, philosophy and culture will be discussed in a lecture by the author of a new academic book. Angels, A History looks at how the messengers of God have been imagined in Judaism, Christianity, Islam, art and literature. The book is written by David Jones, academic director in the School of Theology, Philosophy, and History at St Mary's University College, Twickenham. Professor Jones will give a lecture, "Angels: Why they are here", at the college on 14 April.
