Staff at Liverpool John Moores University this week shunned their home-grown soap Brookside in favour of Manchester-based Coronation Street. Why? Bet Gilroy's niece Vicky was thumbing the pages of their university prospectus. But there was a slight problem with this advertising coup on the country's most-watched show: the university was re-named Wetherfield Community College by script-writers.
