Meanwhile, back in Canada: the College of the North Atlantic, in St John's, Newfoundland, has struck oil.
About 1,154 barrels of an oil-and-water mixture, spilt accidentally 25 years ago, was discovered during an excavation for the foundations for a new medical science building.
The oil-and-water mix had leaked from old underground tanks and had settled on a layer of bedrock.
