Short-term advice

Ruth Kelly's special adviser, Richard Darlington, is leaving his job after less than a year in post to return to the Institute of Public Policy Research think-tank as media manager. And, having minded his boss throughout the May General Election and having helped to launch three White Papers, Mr Darlington may be forgiven if he enjoys the slightly less hectic pace at the IPPR.
