Set your sites on Oxford

December 10, 1999

Fancy setting up your own university? A snappy website is a must and Ascension Island is the place to start. All web addresses registered there end .ac, easy to confuse with .ac.uk as used by British universities. But hurry while stocks last. Cambridge.ac, Oxford.ac and Birmingham.ac have gone. Still available are Imperial, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Liverpool, Southampton and UCL. Congratulations to clever hacks at London Student, who have snagged LSE.ac.
