Scottish universities set up computer campus

EDINBURGH, Glasgow, Heriot-Watt and Strathclyde universities are setting up a joint institute on the Scottish site of US chip design software company, Cadence Design Systems. The institute will act as a think-tank for the microchip industry and offer the world's first masters course in systems level integration.
