Scots circulate the Med

EDINBURGH scientists have won contracts worth Pounds 245,000 to join a Brussels-backed probe of the Mediterranean Sea. Working with 250 scientists from 13 countries, the Scots, led by Keith Haines and Brian Price, aim to model the sea's circulation and the biogeochemistry of the northern margin. They will incorporate satellite data in order to study water and heat movement around and between the Mediterranean sub-basins and exchanges with the atmosphere.
