Said Business School loses first director

Oxford University has lost the director of its Said Business School to the private consultancy world. The departure of John Kay, who was appointed as launch director of the controversial Pounds 45 million business school in 1996, comes just weeks after building work for the new school began. Professor Kay will return to the business consultancy that he founded, London Economics. "I feel the pioneer work at the Said Business School has been successfully completed," he said.
