Ruthless runaround

Education Secretary Ruth Kelly remains for many in the sector a bit of a mystery. It seems vice-chancellors are no more in the know than the rest. Rumour has it that their campaign group, Universities UK, has tried to follow in the unions' footsteps and secure a meeting with her - but she has yet to find a window in her diary.
