Scotland's leading conservatoire is taking its students to new heights with training in automated flying. The technical and production arts BA programme at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) will this year include what is believed to be the world's first industry-endorsed training on specialist flying equipment. RSAMD is using a £150,000 system from Stage Technologies, whose Broadway hits include Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. RSAMD principal John Wallace said: "This will help our stage technology graduates and actors of the future to fly even higher above the competition."
