Rights stuff

March 24, 2000

The Intellectual Property Rights Helpdesk is a European Commission project to support and raise awareness of intellectual property rights for small and medium-sized businesses and the research community.

A series of multimedia tutorials to help researchers and others understand intellectual property rights issues related to European Commission research is available on the website.

There is also an extensive guide to the esp@cenet system. The esp@cenet is a joint service provided by the European Patent Organisation and the national patent offices in the European countries. Available online and updated regularly, it provides the world's largest source of patent information freely available on the internet, about 30 million patents.
