The European Commission has published a call for proposals for the Euratorm research and training programme on nuclear energy.
The call addresses the following areas:
- geological disposal;
- partitioning and transmutation and other concepts to produce less waste in nuclear energy
generation;
- radioactive waste management infrastructures;
- quantification of risks associated with low and protracted exposures;
- medical exposures and natural sources of radiation;
- protection of the environment and radioecology;
- risk and emergency management;
- innovative concepts;
- education and training;
- safety of existing installations;
- cross-cutting activities for nuclear technologies and safety.
Interested parties are invited to consult the full call text for details of which instruments are specified in the call.
The total indicative budget for this call is 52 million euro.
