European Parliament legislative resolution on the proposal for a Council decision concerning the conclusion of the Agreement for scientific and technological cooperation between the European Community and Ukraine ( COM(2002) 550 - C5 0516/2002 - 2002/0243(CNS))

The European Parliament,
- having regard to the Commission proposal to the Council ( COM(2002) 550 ),
- having regard to Articles 170 (2), and Article 300 (2), first subparagraph, of the EC Treaty,
- having been consulted by the Council pursuant to Article 300 (3), first subparagraph, of the EC Treaty (C5 0516/2002),
- having regard to Rule 67, Rule 97 (7) and Rule 158 (1) of its Rules of Procedure,
- having regard to the report of the {ITRE}Committee on Industry, External Trade, Research and Energy (A5 0412/2002),

1. Approves the conclusion Agreement;

2. Instructs its President to forward its position to the Council and Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and Ukraine.
