Reith lecturer

Next year's Reith Lectures will be delivered by Jean Aitchison, Rupert Murdoch professor of language and communication at Oxford University, with a series of five lectures entitled The Language Game, to be broadcast on BBC Radio. Professor Aitchison, who has a classics and linguistics background, will be exploring the rules governing the usage of language, how it changes and ways in which it can be used to mislead and manipulate.
