Red tape snipped

The Higher Education Funding Council for England has cut spending on red tape by 20 per cent in a year, Bill Rammell, the Higher Education Minister, said this week. He added that Hefce planned to reduce its spending on bureaucracy by a further 10 per cent in the next three years.
