Red letters

(Photograph) - Red letters: The main gateway of the new British Library, London, has emerged from its hoardings, displaying the lettering of David Kindersley, who died this year having been one of the last surviving pupils of the carver and typographer Eric Gill. The library is due to open at the end of 1997.
