Sir Robin Day will receive a posthumous award for political interviewing from the Political Studies Association next week.
The award will be one of a series to mark the 50th anniversary of the PSA, which seeks to promote the study and understanding of politics.
Sir Edward Heath, Lord Healey and Lord Jenkins will be recognised for their lifetime achievements in politics. Others, yet to be announced, will be commended for lifetime achievements in political studies.
