The United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) has selected a team of academics from Northern Ireland to help improve peace and tolerance education in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Fifteen educationalists from Macedonia will speak to academics at Queen's University Belfast during a visit to the Northern Irish institution, marking the beginning of a two-year project to develop cultural diversity in the country. The group will also meet experts in community relations in Northern Ireland. Later this year, Queen's researchers will travel to Macedonia to assist in training and development.
