Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella of Canada's Supreme Court revealed in this year's annual lecture at the UHI Millennium Institute that when she first visited Belfast she was assigned two bodyguards. The guards laughed: "We've told all the other bodyguards we had to pick up a judge at the airport and the first thing the judge did was buy a pair of pantyhose."
