The JAF Group, at its meeting on 3-4 November agreed to recommend that the CSO agree to the following proposals:

1. Coordinated promotional/publicity activities

2. COST Code of Conduct

3. Special support for Balkans and neighbouring countries

4. Support for Action websites

5. Extension of STSMs

6. Report on Biomaterials

Following discussion at the CSO meeting in Bergen (May 2004), the COST Office proposes that all COST National Coordinators should be encouraged to take a pro-active role in organising COST National days to bring together all national participants in COST Technical and Management Committees (including interested national members of Working Groups of Actions) and to use the occasion to improve the awareness of COST and the opportunities which it provides to both the research community and to the general public.

Support can be provided by the COST Office in terms of exhibition and promotional/publicity material, use of the COST Web site and by the attendance of COST Office personnel, including talks on COST matters.
