Proposal for public debate on GM crops

The Agriculture and Environment Biotechnology Commission has published proposals for a public debate on the possible commercialisation of genetically modified crops in the UK.

The body, which advises the government on biotechnology issues, wants to see consultation that would include local community debates, focus groups and workshops.
