Promotion of foods to children

Deadline: 09/08/2002

June 5, 2002

The Food Standards Agency wishes to invite proposals for a major review of research on the promotion of foods to children. The FSA wishes to find out whether promotional activity on foods high in fat, sugar and salt has the effect of undermining healthy eating advice and contributing to childhood obesity and long-term health problems.

Applications are welcome from experts in any social science, but especially from media and communication studies, education, marketing and consumer behaviour, sociology and social psychology, social policy and econometrics.
