The General Medical Council has joined forces with the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board to set out core guidance for medical education.

Under the Principles of Good Medical Education all undergraduate and postgraduate education is to be subject to the same set of common principles, from admissions, curriculum and assessment to a section on "reflecting current society".
