Pounds 90 less for students in '99

* Higher education institutions have around Pounds 90 less to spend per student this year than they did five years ago, in spite of tuition fee charges. Figures released by Parliament last week show that while the amount of cash per student increased in 1998-99, it remains below that in 1993-94.
